  Joe King Oliver was a cornet player and a band leader, Armstrong's mentor.   Lovie Austin (aka Cora Calhoun) was a bandleader, composer, singer and arranger, considered as one of the best female jazz and blues piano players. Dates importantes : 1887 born in Tennessee, 1917 wrote 'Graveyard Blues' for Bessie Smith, 1923 Arrived in Chicago, 1924 created the Blues Serenaders and in 1972 died in Chicago.
  Earl Hines was a piano player and Armstrng's friend.
