Strike a chord


Strike a chord

The first guitars arrived in America with European settlers. As it was quite cheap, it quickly became the instrument of choice for folk musicians and then for jazz, blues and rock as well. On a guitar, music is produced by plucking or striking the strings. When several notes are associated, it creates a chord which can be easily remembered. “A chord” often means something familiar.
