Disney movies are famous for their magical stories, where princesses find true love and live “happily ever after.” The phrase dates back to the 14th century and became a popular way to conclude fairy tales. Hollywood helped make happy endings a standard, reflecting the optimism of the American Dream, where anyone can achieve happiness and success, even though original fairy tales often had much darker conclusions.
