The scenario

Pitch a TV show storyline on Inuit political representation.

You are part of the creative team for the new season of North of North, a hit Netflix series about Inuit life in Canada's Arctic. This season will introduce a new storyline about Inuit political representation, and your mission is to research Inuit history, culture, and politics to help the writers and actors portray it authentically. Indigenous peoples in Canada (Métis, First Nations and Inuit) have their own systems of government based on tradition and community decision-making. An example of this is the Inuit self-rule in Nunavut. These systems give Indigenous Peoples a voice in decisions affecting their communities and support their right to self-determination.
