• Select the photo that you think best represents the theme and tells a strong story.
• Prepare a short explanation to justify your choice.

As a member of the jury, you have been selected to write an article for the award's official blog. Describe the photograph you have chosen, explain why it stands out, and reflect on how it conveys themes of crisis, identity, and community. Your goal is to convince the public why this image deserves recognition.

• Research powerful documentary or artistic photographs online. Choose one image that resonates with you. Use reliable sources (museum websites, photojournalism platforms, interviews…) to gather key information: who took the photo, when, where, and in what context?
• Plan your article: make short notes under these questions: What do we see? What story does it tell? What emotions or reflections does it provoke?
• Find your voice: decide on the tone and purpose of your article. Is it more emotional, analytical, or informative? How can you hook the reader from the first lines?
• Write your draft: include an engaging introduction, a strong description and analysis, and a clear conclusion explaining why this photograph deserves the spotlight.
