Culture note

Dystopian fiction began with writers like George Orwell (1984) and Aldous Huxley (Brave New World) who imagined oppressive societies to warn readers about totalitarianism and social control. Today, the genre thrives in YA novels (The Hunger Games, Divergent), films, TV series (Black Mirror, The 100), and video games (Cyberpunk, BioShock), engaging audiences while exploring real social and ethical issues.
